The Department of Language and Cultural Studies, Anthropology, and Sociology at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor for Academic Year 2024-2025.
The position begins August 2024.
This generalist position serves courses in the Spanish program. The successful candidate will teach all levels of undergraduate Spanish language, culture, and literature in a 5/5 annual teaching load.
Requisitos
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Earned Ph.D. in Spanish or a closely related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. ABD applicants may also be considered.
Experience:
• Native or near-native speaker fluency in the Spanish language
• Knowledge of current practices in professional communication and social media
• Effective interpersonal communication skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Analytic and problems solving skills
• Active and effective listening skills
• Ability to collaborate with peers and students
• Ability to understand and adapt to current trends in professional communication
• Evidence of good character, mature attitude, and professional integrity
