The Department of Literature and Languages at The University of Texas at Tyler invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Spanish beginning Fall 2024.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Research and publication.
- Curriculum development including building a legal Spanish minor or certificate program.
- Learning outcome assessment.
- Local community outreach for service learning.
Requisitos
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Spanish (awarded by August 15, 2024).
- Ability to teach a wide range of courses in Spanish language and communication at all levels and occasionally, general linguistics to English and Spanish majors and minors.
- Experience in teaching of Spanish at the college level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in college teaching
- Background in linguistics and translation studies
- Publications of research results
